Dave Skinner
Sensei Dave Skinner is a student and instructor of Excel Martial Arts. After watching his two son’s classes for a year, he began his own training. His curiosity and willingness to learn has made him into one of the most knowledgeable instructors of the American-Te® Curriculum. Early on, Dave showed a great talent in martial arts and teaching. Consequently, Dave received his 1st Degree Black Belt in 2003 after 6 years of dedicated training. As a Black belt, Dave began teaching many classes to children and adults. In 2008, Dave achieved his 2nd Degree Black Belt providing a pivotal role in training many future instructors and head instructors including Sensei Mark Delaney and Sensei Paul Frost.
Later, Sensei Dave Skinner earned his 3rd Degree Black Belt in 2010 and the title of Senior Instructor. Dave was awarded his 4th Degree Black Belt in 2014, after mentoring many Excel students to their own Black Belt. Recently Sensei Dave was awarded the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt and the title of Master Instructor. Additionally, Dave trains Tuesdays and Friday mornings and regularly attends Tuesdays evenings group classes.
