Mark Delaney
Sensei Mark Delaney began studying martial arts after watching his son earn his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Always interested, but not wanting to compete with his son, Mark found Excel Martial Arts. In 2003, Mark began studying in semi-private sessions with Sensei Dave Skinner. His schedule allowed only morning classes, but with complete dedication and focus, Mark worked his way to the advanced level of Brown Belt. It was at this time that Sensei Dave directed him to join other classes in order to begin training for his black belt. In 2009, Mark achieved his 1st Degree Black Belt, along with Joe Gatto and Jim Fletcher. Excel not only gained a superb Black Belt, but also an instructor. Now a ‘Sensei,’ Mark began assistant teaching in many classes and later given his own class.
In 2013, Sensei Mark Delaney was awarded his 2nd Degree Black Belt in American-Te®, and the title of Head Instructor. With dedication and focus, Mark was ranked Yondan (4th Degree) in 2018. Sensei Mark trains in Mansfield and Canton and can primarily be seen teaching in Canton on Fridays.
